GENERAL INFORMATION
The Baltimore Small Stage Coalition is proud to offer regional auditions supporting the local non-equity theater community. In the past as many as 30 theater organizations have attended from all across the state and more than 100 auditions have been seen over two days.
There is never a cost for performers to audition. Auditors are charged a small fee to cover the cost of refreshments, technical support and accompaniment.
With consent from participants, auditions are recorded and made available to registered attendees for future casting opportunities.

Please note: This event is hosted by a community coalition comprising organizations focused around varied values, genres, and practices. This event is meant to be open to all by design. Participants should make their own educated judgements regarding the organizations and individuals with whom they wish to work.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I can't make my audition? Things come up - if you can't make your audition please let us know as soon as possible by clicking on the link in your confirmation email to cancel your appointment or sending us an email. NOTE: Directors are provided a list of actors who sign up but no-show for auditions.
Should I still come if I'm running late? Absolutely! We still want to see your talent. You may have to wait a bit, but we will work to get you into the next available spot.
I missed sign-ups, can I still audition? Of course! We will do our best to accommodate all walk-ins. You may have to wait a bit, but we will work to get you into the next available spot. We recommend you arrive as early as possible and upload your headshot and resume ahead of time.
Can I submit a video audition? BSSC auditions are in-person only. Video submissions are NOT accepted.
Can I still sing if the musical auditions are full? If the musical audition slots fill up, auditioners may still perform a song a capella in our non-musical time slots.
Where should I park? There is street parking available around Arena Players. Please make sure to pay attention to any posted signs.
Do I need to bring my resume or headshot to the auditions? You do NOT need to bring a headshot or resume to the auditions. Please submit them electronically by Thursday, June 12. Directors will have access to headshots and resumes through an electronic database.
How do I submit my resume and headshot for my audition? Upload your headshot and resume by Thursday, June 12. Who/what am I auditioning for? These are general auditions and not necessarily for a specific show or role. Directors may contact you to offer you a role directly or invite you to attend show-specific auditions. After the auditions, you will receive an email with a full list of all theaters/projects represented in the room. At past auditions, we've had dozens of organizations/projects represented.
